A woman has been arrested in connection with the narrow survival of a man fighting for his life after being crushed in a hit-and-run.
The victim, aged 40, was discovered last night in Ardington, West Midlands, with serious head injuries.
He was taken to the hospital where his condition remains critical.
A 44-year-old woman has been arrested on charges of attempt to murder.
The suspect, who is known to the person, is also being questioned on suspicion of driving unfit by means of alcohol or drugs.
West Midlands Police said: “We were called to Reservoir Road just after 10 p.m. last night (8 October) and one person suffered a serious head injury.
“The vehicle left the scene, but has since been recovered and a 44-year-old woman has been arrested.
“The road remains closed as long as our inquiries continue and anyone with information is urged to get in touch.”
