The fast-food chain announced that it would replace any order of fries if they weren’t “hot and crunchy.” one in Press release, Wendy’s calls it “Hot and Crispy Fry Guarantee.”
John Lee, Vice President of Culinary Innovation, said, “At Wendy’s, we’re always on the lookout for new ways to innovate our menus where we see a lack of competition. As a fry fanatic, it’s okay not to have fries — so I set off with our culinary team in search of the perfect fries that will disrupt this category. We’re very proud of where we arrived with Wendy’s new Hot & Crispy Fries, a hot one with every bite , delivers crunchy, salty crunch.”

According to the press release, Wendy’s tested 20 different cuts of potatoes to make sure the fries had good heat protection. The fries were designed not only to taste good, but also to retain their crunchiness.
