An amputee has surprised thousands of spectators by holding a baseball in his prosthetic leg at a Chicago ballpark.
27-year-old Shannon Friendres amputated her right leg and the flying baseball completely landed inside her… despite being intoxicated. Five beer.
The notable incident occurred during the Chicago White Sox’s home Major League Baseball (MLB) game with the Detroit Tigers.
Friendreis, who kept the ball, wrote TIC Toc: “It was a good idea to take five beers in and take my foot off to catch the ball.”
The video has since been viewed more than 2.7 million bar, garnering 414k likes and 11.1k shares.
Friendreis is prolific on TikTok and has garnered more than 13.2k followers on the social media platform.
And fans were loving her latest video, to which one replied: “It took an arm and a leg to catch that ball.”
While another wrote: “Instead of holding my beer, it’s holding my leg! Legend.”

And a follower replied: “I’ve heard of getting the upper hand but never got the upper leg.”
Frienddress also received a touching comment from ice hockey team Dallas Stars, who told a TikTok user that she was a ‘star in the making’.
Friendreis replied: “I’m beyond cheery Dallas, hockey is my number one! It was sick.”
The Chicago White Sox are guaranteed a top spot in the American League Central after amassing 93 wins and reaching the play-offs after the season.
The season culminates in the World Series – the highest award in baseball – with the White Sox winning the last of their three titles in 2005.
