FOND FISHER Conor McGregor caught a shark near his home in Miami, posing for a picture before throwing it back into the ocean and urging his fans to ‘protect the ocean’.
The Irishman posted two photos of him posing with the shark on Twitter and captioned it: “Caught a shark from my backyard in Miami today.”
Some did not take much kindness to McGregor for not pulling the shark out of the ocean and urged the 33-year-old to ‘put it back’.
McGregor then shared a video of him throwing the shark back into the ocean to ease his fans’ fears.
He said: “Go back to you my little ocean crater. Protect the ocean. Fish responsibly.”
Despite people calling for ‘responsibility to fish’, some criticized the way McGregor threw the shark back into the ocean.
One Twitter The user replied: “You can put it back instead of dodging it.”
one responded to the complaint saying: “How exactly did you want him to throw the shark back into the water…?”

The former is on the road to recovery after breaking his left tibia and fibula at UFC 264 against Division Two UFC world champion Dustin Poirier.
And he is unlikely to return to the Octagon before the new year.
McGregor has previously called fishing ‘f***ing tremendous,’ but it’s not the only sport he’s involved himself with lately.
The mixed martial artist recently threw the first pitch at a Chicago Cubs baseball game.
But it went horribly wrong for the Irishman as he missed a mile from the receiver, so much so that the ball hit a fan in the crowd.
