Canelo Alvarez provides a glimpse of his footwork and quick reflexes in his latest training clip.
The P4P King of Boxing believes his upcoming undisputed clash against Caleb Plant is going to be eased by his win over Billy Joe Saunders.
And few would disagree with him after the above footage from a recent season showcasing his fast legs and lightning instincts.
The Mexican icon, who hasn’t lost since taking on Floyd Mayweather in 2013, is looking to win the fourth and final belt in the super-middleweight division when he takes on Plante on November 6.
And Canelo said it would be even more straightforward than his win over Saunders this week.
He claimed: “Yes, the same [as Saunders], but different because Billy Joe Saunders is southeastern and Caleb Plant is conservative.
“So, it’s going to be, I guess, maybe a little easier for me.”
The legend has stopped three of his last four opponents, with Callum Smith the only man to cover the distance since May 2019.
Canelo is widely regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
He has won 56 of his 59 professional appearances, losing to Mayweather and drawing to Jorge Juarez and Gennady Golovkin.
Meanwhile, Plant is unbeaten in his 21 pro bouts, but hasn’t fought anyone of Canelo’s caliber.
The pair have a clear disdain for each other and recently got into a fight at the press conference.
Plant attempted to throw a punch at Canelo but the Mexican dodged it and then threw his right hand, leaving the American with a cut below his eye.
