Tom Hardy Fights Classic Spider-Man Villain poison 2, encounters a serial killer with a symbiosis of his own. However, another Spider-Man villain, Naomi Harris’ Shriek, also causes problems. While Carnage’s backstory is more straightforward, Shriek has a backstory with a massive association with mutants in the X-Men.
Naomi Harris screams in ‘Poison 2’
Back in May 2021, headlines reported Harris playing Shriek Venom 2. Appearing in various trailers, she showcased her powers on sound. The villain is seen doing serious damage while firing with continuous blasts.
In the comics, Shriek acted as the twisted love interest in Cletus Cassady, aka Carnage. Carnage’s debut in the first significant event, maximum carnage, the two form a perverted family for a murderous rampage.
while their role Venom 2 Remains uncertain, director Andy Serkis offers few details about the character.
“She’s a damaged soul, and she really suffered in her childhood, but there’s a real vulnerability about her, and she’s in a lot of pain… she’s been living in isolation for years, years, and years,” movieweb Serkis said.
Part of Shrik’s backstory has heart-wrenching elements and a traumatic childhood. However, there are some interesting connections to the second half of her backstory.
Shriek is actually a mutant in the comics
Mutants exist in the Marvel Universe as a way to circumvent explanations for power. Instead of having to bite thousands of characters by radioactive spiders or injections of Super-Soldier Serum, the mutants allowed for quick character creation.
Earlier poison 2, Shriek’s first introduction offered a little backstory. However, in a confrontation with Cloak and Dagger, she says that she once found herself caught in Cloak’s extra-dimensional cape.
Back when Shriek was gone by Francis Barrison, something was born inside him by coming into contact with this Dark Dimension. Activating a secret gene, Marvel revealed that Shrik was actually a mutant.
Possessing the ability to manipulate sound in several ways, she shares some of the same powers as the X-Men, the Banshee.
With Shriek’s performance in Venom 2 Trailers could be more similar to those in the Powerset film.
Could Naomi Harris’ Shrik Be A Mutant In ‘Venom 2’?
The likelihood of Shriek retaining its mutant origins was 99% ‘no’ before Disney bought Fox.
However, that percentage has dropped now that Marvel, the X-Men, and the Mutants all fall under the same company again.
With Tom Holland’s murmur of Spider-Man and a crossover with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, possibilities have blown up. If Serkis was in dire need of a mutant Shrik like in the comics, he probably could.
However, Venom 2 By the time Disney bought Fox in 2019, it was a long time in development. While some lines of dialogue could have been adjusted to hint at mutants, it would cause turmoil in Sony’s world-building.
Other than that, the fact changes the character very little. Leaving a mystery around how Naomi Harris’ Shriek obtained her powers may have given her a more menacing aura.
As movies continue to grow, however, the probability never reaches zero.
