Unlike many of his fellow classmates, Tom Felton was not familiar with harry potter Books before auditioning for movies. Instead, it was his agent who encouraged him to try out for the film. Felton has shared that he doesn’t want to play anyone else in the franchise. He liked the opportunity to portray “a villain” as he has been appreciating villains for a long time. “I’m such a fan,” shared Felton collider. “I’m a fan of villains, especially working with a lot of greats. I mean Alan Rickman and Ralph [Fiennes] Really… it took me seven years to muster up the courage to talk to him and I still find him dangerous. They are as charming and lovable as they are charming.”

Continuing, Felton praised Fiennes and Rickman. The actors were particularly impressed with how easily their fellow actors were able to transform into their character. According to Felton, the actors embodied their characters so much, it was difficult for them to see them in normal settings.

“It’s not even ‘starstruck,’” Felton shared of himself Harry grandsonR classmate. “It’s really intimidating, really. These — Ralph or Alan, for example, they’re cute charming people, and yet they literally go crazy right in front of your eyes when the cameras roll. I don’t know what’s more weird, actually seeing Ralph being Voldemort with the wand and everything, or seeing him dressed in white with a green cloak, last night about the East Enders Talking, or something like that. Whatever it was, it was even more bizarre to see him as a Muggle.”

Clearly, Felton had a healthy dose of dread as well as a lot of admiration for his fellow cast members. But considering Rickman and Fiennes excelled at Harry grandsonfranchise, we see why Felton felt that way.
