Tipping Point fans were up in arms when Ben Shepherd spent time telling a contestant about his job.
As he asked the ITV gameshow host Gurpage several questions about his career, he took to social media to complain.
This happened while Ben was trying to fulfill his role as presenter by getting to know the player.
But it was a bit much for the audience, as he seemed overly eager to know the details of Gurpage’s job as a bathroom salesman.
When Gurpage revealed that he’d been working for “about three and a half years”, Ben asked: “You know what I don’t watch enough? Bidets. Do you sell a lot?”
To which Gurpez replied: “Bidets, it really is an acquired taste.”
Not with his questioning, Ben then asks Gurpez to give his thoughts on the “trend in the bathroom.”
The conversation ended with the pair joking that Gurpez’s own toilet was the “bog standard”.
Not exactly impressed by the literal toilet humour, one viewer wrote on Twitter: “Yeah, charming, but can we get over this?”
Another addition: “Why is the Shepherd so interested in toilets?”
A third complained: “Dear ITV, nobody gives as **** about useless chit-chat!”
One asked: “What’s with all the contestant chats at Tipping Point? Is their round over?”
Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV.
