Several outlets, including NFL Network and ESPN, have reported that Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19, citing sources.
Granthshala has reached out to the Packers and the NFL for comment but has yet to receive a response.
This is what Rodgers has to say on the subject:
In August, when asked whether he had received the COVID-19 vaccine, Rodgers said he had been “immunised”.
“There’s a lot of people around this, around the league, who have made statements and haven’t made statements,” Rodgers said.
“The owners have made a statement. There are people in the team who haven’t been vaccinated. I think it’s a personal decision. I’m not going to judge those people. There are people who have been vaccinated and covid. contracted. So it’s an interesting issue.”
According to NFL and NFLPA policy, clubs are not allowed to comment on a player’s medical condition except with reference to roster status.
To be placed on the Reserve/Covid-19 list is for a player who tests positive or has been in close contact with an infected person.
