The AOC has threatened a ‘no’ vote on infrastructure if Democrats do not provide the text of the social spending bill.

“There’s Nothing Left for Progressives in the Reconciliation Bill,” Uighuro declared on Tuesday. “If progressives in Congress vote yes and then do shit – cheerleading for the Corporate Democratic Party that ruined it, they will be met with a wall of suspicion and disdain. This bill is now garbage. Vote no.” “

On Wednesday, Uighurs doubled down amid reports that paid family leave was being stripped of the bill.

The Uighurs tweeted, “Democrats give up paid family leave! This bill is useless now. Democrats are total losers. #Voteno.”

Reconciliation bill: Pelosi schedules bill text, hearing despite lack of framework: live updates

“If they completely pass this reconciliation bill drafted by President Joe Manchin and Vice President Kirsten Cinema, @JoeBiden’s legacy is going to be owned by Joe Manchin. That’s the weakness it shows. #Vote No, ‘ he later wrote.

He called on progressive lawmakers like Reps Pramila Jayapal and Ro Khanna, who are leading the talks on behalf of his caucus, as well as “squad” members like Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Ayana Pressley, and Corey Bush amid their attempt to derail the reconciliation bill, as it stands.

“No one in their right mind would vote for this disgusting, disgusting bill of progressives that doesn’t even have a family holiday. We’ve got almost nothing out of this bill!” Uighur said. “It’s important to know that we were in favor of this bill until it was dropped over the past few weeks. Then Pelosi tells everyone the other day to cheer for it no matter what. Unbearable.”

Uighur said, “If progressives give up after exhausting almost all of their priorities, they will have no credibility with the rest of the Biden administration or until they have a new leader. What was the point of standing strong all the way through? Now what if you’re just gonna give up in the end?”

The Uighurs’ message may have been received because Ocasio-Cortez threatened a “no” vote on an infrastructure bill included in the social spending bill.

“I don’t see how ethically I can vote to increase US climate emissions,” Ocasio-Cortez said on Wednesday. . “We have a framework for six months. We need lessons.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosic, D-California., expressed optimism That the party was closing in on a deal in a letter to the Democrats.

“As we have emphasized, we are close to agreement on the priorities and the top line of legislation, which could pass the House and Senate,” Pelosi said in the letter. “At the same time, we are facing a critical deadline for passing the bipartisan infrastructure framework.”
