Scene Extra precautions were taken as they had to receive Harris on set. Joy Behar, Sarah Haines, Hostin and Navarro were all set to interview the Vice President, but things took a drastic turn. Hostin and Navarro were asked to leave the set during the live show. Due to developing events, Behar took a commercial break to gather more information about what was happening.
Upon the show’s return, viewers were informed that Hostin and Navarro had tested positive for COVID-19. The moment went viral on social media and became a trending topic. Fans of the show were worried for both the co-hosts, but the show did not update the audience any further.

Ana Navarro has tested negative twice
After a long day of buzz on television and social media, Navarro took to Instagram to update his fans. In a video shared on the digital platform, Navarro revealed that he had undergone other tests that had different results.
“I have tested negative twice since the original positive test and am in quarantine in a New York hotel awaiting the result of the third test,” Navarro explained. “Before traveling or doing anything, it was very important to err on the side of caution, because it was about the safety of the Vice President.”
Navarro thanks everyone Scene Plus Behr and Haines “to keep the show going.”
“Thank you all who have written to express concern for Sunny and me and to say that we are in your thoughts and prayers. You don’t know how much this means to me. I love you all,” she added.
Navarro’s twist came at the end of his video statement when he thanked the haters on social media who were criticizing him.
“To the haters, I don’t give af-no. Keep hating, it doesn’t make a dent in my armor. I’m so glad I’ve been vaccinated and to know the protection I get. So Please, get vaccinated,” he concluded.

What happened after Ana Navarro left the set?
Navarro also made an appearance on CNN to talk about what happened after he and Hostin left Idea set.
“We were sent backstage, the vice president was in a different room [and] We had no contact with him for the whole day,” Navarro told Anderson Cooper. “They’re trying to figure out what’s the safest way to conduct this interview and how do we do it? And I have to say, his team rolled with it. It was crazy. When we were in our dressing room were closed, then we ended up doing the interview via remote from the room waiting for the test results we took.”
