Ree Drummond’s Easiest Soup Made With 8 Ingredients
Drummond shared his 7-can soup recipe in a 2015 blog post leading lady Website. The recipe also gets an upgrade with melted cheese, so it’s just eight ingredients total.
“I made this soup on my Food Network show a few weeks ago, and it’s seriously one of those recipes that makes a person say the phrase, ‘Ugh… can you repeat that?’ and ‘Whoa?’ and ‘Crazytown!’ And other questions/exclamations that make one wonder how such a simple list of ingredients could result in something so good,” she wrote.
“7-Can Soup has been around for a long time, and no two recipes are alike, but they’re basically equivalent: 7 cans of whatever you want. Don’t empty the cans. Just violently pot them Throw in,” Drummond continued.

Drummond’s soup recipe is an easy way to make when you’re short on time and inspiration.
Drummond loves an easy recipe with store-bought shortcuts and her 7-Can Soup recipe is just about that. She shared the canned items she used in her recipe, but said, “You can change, swap, sub, switch… whatever cans you want to use!”
Drummond referred to her “crazy options”, which included: canned peppers, canned corn, canned black beans, canned pinto beans, canned kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and Rottel chopped tomatoes with green peppers.
“Everything will make sense in a minute or two, when I actually add an eighth ingredient to a 7-can soup that’s not even canned ingredients, think about it, it wouldn’t make sense for a minute or two, “He said.
The recipe couldn’t be easier – you don’t even have to drain the liquid from the cans! Drummond pours the contents of the cans into a pot and heats everything “to a light boil” before reducing the heat and simmering the soup for 10 to 15 minutes.
Then leading lady The star shared her final candid move that makes all the difference. “And then? Throw in a hunk of Velveeta,” she explained. “Turn the heat to low and stir the soup until the Velveeta is completely melted. This will make the base gorgeously creamy and you’ll want to dive right in. will you do! “
‘The Pioneer Woman’ star calls the recipe ‘a pantry miracle’
demonstrating how to make soup in an episode of leading lady, Drummond shared that she was preparing “one of my favorite and easiest pantry recipes, but there’s only one catch. I’m not going to allow myself any non-pantry cheeses.” Everything has to come from the pantry.”
“Seven soup cans, what can I say? It’s pretty much a pantry miracle,” Drummond said as he emptied the cans into the pot. “It’s amazing how diverse the ingredients are to make such a delicious dinner. Seven cans can go together.
She continued, “I didn’t promise it was elegant or fancy. I promised it was easy and I also promise it was fabulous.”
Drummond notes that the cheese is “optional,” adding that “some people prefer tomatoes and beans to the base altogether. I really like the creaminess of adding a little bit to this cheese.”
