‘The Morning Show’ Season 2 Episode 3: Laura Peterson Asks Alex Levy About Mitch Kessler in an Interview

That means plastering a little cringe-worthy commercial all over New York City and sitting down for an interview. Levy does not trust the character of Aniston, a star UBA anchor, spending an afternoon being interviewed by Peterson.
When interview time comes, Levi calls Chip Black (Mark Duplass) “diva” behavior and is 20 minutes late. But once the interview is underway, Peterson doesn’t hold back. She asks Levi about the nature of her relationship with Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell), her former co-anchor who was kicked out of the show in Season 1 following the events of the #MeToo movement. Levi clearly gets upset and hesitates before saying that she is his best friend.
Later, Levi tells Black how upset she is that Peterson, a fellow anchor for the same network, implies that she may have a romantic relationship with Kessler. Black, his newly reinstated executive producer, assured him that it probably wouldn’t make it to air. But, as it turns out later, this question makes the final cut. Black gets creative in editing and brushes off Levi’s slightest hesitation before answering.
Sparks Are Flying Between Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley Jackson and Juliana Margulies’ Laura Peterson on ‘The Morning Show’ Season 2
Levi’s co-anchors don’t feel the same way about Peterson. Jackson has no history with the veteran journalist and TV personality. So she defies Levi’s warnings as she heads to Iowa with Peterson in tow.
The two women sipped coffee during an on-camera interview, where Jackson opened up about his career. Later, Peterson reveals that UBA executive Corey Ellison (Billy Crudup) asked her to give any advice on being an anchor. But, as she tells Jackson, she’s already “fun” and dynamic on camera after seeing her report on the Iowa caucuses.
Finally, when they are leaving Iowa and the cameras are not around, Peterson asks Jackson if the UBA has vetoed him for the job. Instead of responding, Jackson kissed Peterson.
Network is barely reporting on COVID-19 despite Daniel Henderson’s objections
COVID-19 isn’t really on UBA’s radar at the moment the morning show Season 2. Yes, Daniel Henderson (Dacian Terry) is reporting from China but the network doesn’t devote much time to it.
Meanwhile, in China, Henderson and his fellow UBA staff barely make it to a hotel, where they have to quarantine for 14 days. On top of that, “social distancing” is mentioned in jokes by Jackson and Eric Nomani (Hasan Minhaj).
