A new dating show will feature an array of beautiful women vying for the attention of a beautiful stranger — but there’s a dramatic catch.
Love Trap will see eight women competing against each other to win a £20,000 cash prize if they can seduce personal trainer David Birtwistle, 34, however, only half of them are single.
In what will be difficult for their partners at home, some love traps are engaged, but they don’t hold back when trying to convince David that they are real.
In tonight’s eagerly anticipated first episode, they flirt outrageously, with one telling her she wanted to join him in bed, teasing: “I felt bad for you being alone.”
The second episode involves more rivals as they take extra steps to win her love in a “chemistry test”, each lovingly hugging her in bed.
Even host Joel Dommett, as well as the producer, was stunned by the women’s physical relationship with David – some even rubbed his bare chest, licked his neck and gnawed at his ear lobes .
Joel said in front of The Masked Singer that he would be “absolutely fiery” if he had one of the boyfriends watching at home.
He added: “We really didn’t think anything like kissing was going to happen, or even further. My gosh, were we so wrong, they actually went in.
“He must have had a conversation with his boyfriend at home and went like, ‘Let’s win this 20 grand, you shouldn’t be offended by this. I’m going to kiss him, I’m going to do this, I’m going to do that. Am.
“And fair game, they actually did — because a lot of the time we were like, ‘That person can’t have a boyfriend because if I were that boyfriend, I would be absolutely fiery right now’.”
For those who are unlucky enough to be rejected by David, he is thrown through a shocking trap.
Well, like The Masked Singer, Joel is kept in the dark about the contestants so he doesn’t know who is single and who is faking it.
Viewers may recognize Singleton David from Netflix’s hit series Too Hot to Handle.
The hunk did not find love on that show, but confirmed that he is now hoping to find the woman of his dreams.
“She has to be outgoing, and fun, and bubbly — I want a best friend, as well as a partner,” he said.
“And someone who is inspired, that they want to achieve in their life, and the places they want to go.”
Love Trap will start tonight at 10 PM on Channel 4.
