All TELETUBBIES fans had the same complaint after the TV icons spoke for the first time on This Morning.
Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, La La and Poe appeared on the ITV Breakfast Show to promote their new upcoming album Ready, Steady, Go! Tomorrow morning.
Presenters Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby managed to chat with childhood favorites to talk about their 25th anniversary.
The group, which first graced our screens in 1997, is up against the likes of Coldplay and the Spice Girls for the number one spot on the charts.
Philip asked him: “So, do you think you will beat them?”
La La replied: “Teletubies is the best song!”
Po said: “Teletubi number one!”
Holly asked if they would make another appearance at the event, to which Poe replied: “We love Holly and Phil!”
But viewers of the show got confused and took to Twitter to point out something.
One said: “I don’t remember Teletubby talking before.”
Another sarcastically said: “Don’t miss the teletubbies with such wide vocabulary.”
Meanwhile others pointed out how bizarre the appearance was.
A third asked: “Am I drunk? #teletubbies with a new song on this morning.”
Another tweeted: “Why the f*** I see Phil and Holly talking to f***ing teletubbies? Am I high?”
Teletubbies is one of the most popular children’s television programs of all time.
A total of 485 episodes ran over nine seasons between 1997 and 2001.
A revival series was released in 2015 and is still on air.
Ready, steady, go! Will release on 15 October 2021
