A suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed to death in Oxford.
Officers were called to Bayswater Road, Barton, just before 6 p.m. yesterday.
The thirty-year-old man died on the spot due to injuries.
Their families have been informed and they are being supported by the authorities.
Police today confirmed that a 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is still in custody.
He believes the suspect and victim know each other and says there is no “widespread risk” to people living in the area.

Detective Inspector Nick Hind, senior investigating officer for the Major Crime Unit of the Thames Valley Police, said: “We have now made an arrest, and I want to reassure the local community that we are making good progress in this investigation.
“It is understandable that incidents like these cause a lot of concern in the local community, but if you have any concerns or information to raise, our officers are on site to speak to you.
“There will be an ever-increased and very visible police presence in the area for the coming few days while we piece together what has happened.
“Though the victim has not been formally identified, we have identified and informed her next of kin, who are being supported by specially trained officers in this difficult time.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victims, who are deeply saddened by this news.”
Thames Valley Police is urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
