Strictly Come Dancing star Dan Walker “collapsed” after his exhausting fast-paced move.
Newsreaders lay down on the famous BBC Breakfast red couch after their first live dance.
But it was all fun as he bounced back to be criticized by the judges, who were “pleasantly surprised” by the 6ft 6in dancer.
She was awarded 24 points in total – and now has a gift to her dance partner Nadia Bychkova after scoring double digits.
Speaking backstage with Claudia Winkleman, Dan said: “I’ve spent most of my life afraid of the dance floor because I’m tall and awkward.
“This amazing woman has enabled me to do this in just ten days’ time, which is truly incredible.
“She deserves all the praise for me not looking like an idiot out there.”
He continued: “I said I would give him a gift if we got double digits, so I better settle it.”
Dan dedicated his first appearance on the show to Minchin, his former BBC Breakfast co-host.
“She left last week, hopefully she’s looking,” Dan said.
“We miss you, we love you and wish you all the best off the couch.”
It’s been a dramatic week for Dan, who was rushed to the hospital hours before the series’ launch last week.
The 44-year-old star suffered a horrific accident after hitting a glass door while running to collect his wallet.
The BBC Breakfast favorite revealed she was taken in after feeling “woozy”.
He explained in the post’s caption: “A little head-based drama today! Sent me to A&E today after hitting my noggin on the big glass window yesterday because I was stuttering a bit.
“A lovely nurse from Barnett Hospital named Karina checked my vitals and 6ft 9 consultant Eric Witt gave me a CT scan to check for bleeding on the brain. Thankfully…well.
“I have to rest for a few days – so I’ll be a little behind – but am ready to dig in again next week. A timely reminder of how amazing the NHS is.”
