Stacey Solomon has compared motherhood to the brutal fantasy series Game of Thrones as she admitted to being “a little sad” during the night after her daughter was born.
Star and fiancee Joe Swash, 32, welcomed their little girl on Monday, which also happened to be Stacy’s birthday.
She took to her Instagram Story this evening to update fans on how her baby, whom she has yet to name, is getting along.
Swinging with joy, Stacey sparkled joy as she hugged her newborn while snoozing, admitting: “I still haven’t left my bedroom, only to go to the toilet — but I’ve got dressed, and now the night It’s time. Nights come so early.”
Gary, referencing the HBO show, she continued: “You know in Game of Thrones when they were worried about all winter? Like the long night is coming? I feel like that goes down every time.”
Joe then interrupted, revealing that he was out of the shot despite the bed being right next to him and his daughter.
He joked: “Hello, I’m really here!”
Stacey added in the caption of the short video: “I get a little sad when I go downstairs. Don’t know why. Just get a little scared.
“Like how they must have felt in Game of Thrones knowing that the long night is coming.
“I really don’t know what I’m doing most of the time, it’s all a bit weird. But I hope you’re all well. Whatever day it is, be happy.”
In Game of Thrones, characters regularly warn that “winter is coming”, fearing tough, dark days.
The star then shared an adorable picture of Joe smiling and hugging his little girl, writing: “When the sets start and it’s getting dark I go back to that fuzzy feeling to get back to all the videos of that day. And look at the pictures.
“Today I watched all the videos of the boys meeting our little girl and I can’t even describe the feeling…”
Earlier today, Stacey told followers that she and Joe still haven’t decided on a name for their first daughter, having previously revealed that her sister Gemma had “stolen” her first choice.
Stacy is also mother to 13-year-old Zachary, nine-year-old Leighton from previous relationships, and two-year-old Rex, whom she shares with Joe. He is also the father of 14-year-old Harry.
