Drummond showed him how to make beef tacos in an episode of leading lady. He started by heating the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cooking the onions until they begin to soften. Then he put the ground beef in it, shredded it with a wooden spoon and cooked it until it turned brown.
“Everyone around here loves beef tacos,” she explained. “They love chicken tacos — I love shrimp tacos — but when they’re going to be hard-boiled for several hours, beef tacos are the way to go.”
Drummond took the fat off the meat and added a simple mix of spices—chili powder, cumin, paprika, crushed red pepper, salt, and pepper—for taco seasoning. He added hot water, stirred it, and reduced the heat, allowing the taco meat to simmer for 15 minutes to reach a “slightly saucy consistency.” leading lady “It mixes with all those spices and it creates this wonderful liquid in the meat,” Starr explained.
