As heiress, Prince Charles will succeed his mother when her reign ends, however, not everyone wants to see Charles as the next monarch.
Calls for his eldest son, Prince William, to become king shortly after Queen Elizabeth II are growing louder. And now, it is being claimed that this needs to happen because Prince Charles “didn’t put an end to the bargain.”
Former politician minced words on why Prince Charles shouldn’t be made king
One of the people who allowed Charles to step aside and allow his eldest son to become king is former Labor MP Stephen Pound. He believes the Prince of Wales should not be the next monarch because he “has not put his side of the deal.”
Pound by TalkRadio (per To express) “We’ve put his side of the deal, he hasn’t put his side of the deal, and honestly, I’ve met him twice, he’s a totally charming person, but he’s trying to be a constitutional and a is the ceremonial monarch. I sincerely believe that there is someone like Kate [Middleton] May save the royal family. “
The former politician said: “After all, I just want to see the confidence of this man, I want to see the confidence to say that we don’t have to govern, we don’t have to be subjects, we can actually be citizens, the same Kind of like the Dutch are. What’s wrong with that ceremonial monarch? We can keep the glitz and we can maintain the glory and we can keep tourists stuffed into the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace, you name it.”
Changes to happen when Prince Charles becomes Emperor
No matter how loud the call for Charles to pass off the crown and go straight after the Queen to William, it almost certainly won’t happen. Becoming the next monarch is not only a birthright for Prince Charles, but something he has longed for and cherished for the rest of his life. And when that happens there will be many changes.
Some of them include the words of the national anthem “God Save the Queen” which is sung as “God Save the King”. Another big change will be in the money of the country. Britain’s currency carries a picture of the monarch during the reign, so once the Prince of Wales becomes king, the British pound will hold his picture.
Furthermore, speculation has been raging for quite some time that there are plans to “undermine the monarchy” when Charles takes the throne. So we’ll have to wait to see who’s in and who’s out when this happens.
