A seven-year-old boy has gone missing in Scotland, prompting urgent calls for information on his whereabouts.
7-year-old Carson Shepherd went missing from Afton Bridgend in New Comnock, East Ayrshire on Sunday night.
Police have already searched areas urging the public to “check the garden sheds, gardens, garages and don’t assume anyone else”.
He issued an appeal on social media saying: “He was last seen in the Afton Bridgend area on Sunday, 19 September 2021 around 7:20 pm.”
Police elaborated that Carson is about 3 feet 6 inches tall, has short dark brown hair and is slim.
He was last known for wearing dark blue jeans, a T-shirt and a black top.
This appeal has been shared thousands of times by locals expressing their grief over the disappearance of the young boy.
One person wrote: “I hope this lamb is found safe and well real soon, so dark and late a wee boy will be out on his own.”
Another said: “Please get your scent dogs straight over this. People check their dash cams and CCTV videos. Hope he is safe, God bless and protect him.”
Another wrote: “Hope this little boy is safe and sound soon, my stomach is fine. How scared would he be? I pray that he is lost in time and is in the house of a friend who is unaware of quest x.”
Anyone who has information that may help locate Carson should contact police on 101, citing incident number 3162 to the authorities.
