Phil Foden has agreed a new six-year deal at Manchester City.
SunSport reported yesterday that the England legend is expected to finalize talks on an extension of his contract upon his return from international duty.
And it is understood the paperwork will be signed and announced in the coming days that it will be kept at the Etihad by the summer of 2027.
Foden, 21, had three years left on his current contract, which was signed in December 2018 and is worth £30,000 a week.
This was heavily promoted and it is believed that he is currently doubling that amount after his excellent progress.
Now City have rewarded Foden with a salary increase that would make him one of the highest paid young players in world football.
Pep Guardiola said in 2019 that Foden was the only player in his squad who was not fully sellable, even though a 500 million euro bid came in.
And the player could not imagine playing for any other club – having supported City all his life.

He added: “I can only see myself playing for Manchester City, seeing how much I have supported them from a young age.”
The Three Lions starlet has dazzled on international duty when compared to NFL superstar Tom Brady by Roy Keane.
He put on an incredible last time for City, scoring and was awarded Gary Neville’s joint man of the match – along with Mo Salah – against Liverpool.
