Barrasso said that “taxpayers’ $200 million” had been earmarked for Park by Pelosi and House Democrat leaders “as part of their reckless tax and spending budget legislation” and referenced a Granthshala News article in which the Trust had several board members. – including Benioff – are major Pelosi donors.

The senator requested Benioff to answer a list of questions about the trust’s financial obligations, asking whether the Presidio is “currently self-sustaining in accordance with its commitments and legislation” and if the park is “funded for maintenance to tenants”. and deferred maintenance of the facility.”

He also asked the board to provide its “plan” for hundreds of millions of dollars of funding, as well as a “full account of deferred maintenance within the Presidio” and a list of current park tenants.

The board of the Presidio Trust includes several Democratic donors who have cumulatively given hundreds of thousands of dollars to pro-Pelosi efforts over the years.

Pelosi spokesman Drew Hamill told Granthshala News in a phone call Thursday that the park predates current board members and that the Presidio National Park has been a legislative hallmark of the speaker’s congressional career.

Hamill also rejected the idea that the donors on the board had nothing to do with Park’s proposal to receive $200 million in taxpayer dollars, calling it a “silly thing done out of disbandment” and Pelosi. Known for “preserving the Presidio in his life in public service”.
