Heughan also acknowledged the ending of Season 5, in which Jamie rescues Claire from Lionel Brown and his men after a brutal sexual assault. He says the couple’s personal trauma will also be a part of Season 6, not just the upcoming war.
“Yeah, Jamie went to save Claire, but I think, obviously, she hasn’t recovered from that trauma, and I think Jamie is very aware of it,” Heughan explained. “He’s been keeping an eye on him, and I think these cracks are really starting to show — not only for Jamie and Claire but for the rest of the residents of Fraser Ridge. War is coming.”

As if the impending war and Claire’s PTSD weren’t enough, the Frasers also have to deal with new neighbors — the Christie family.
