Elizabeth Mitchell Plays Carla Limbre in ‘Outer Banks’ on Netflix
Carla Limbre is a wealthy Charleston resident with connections to the captain of a Royal Merchant ship. Throughout Season 2, we learn that the mythical shroud that Limbre wants is rumored to be within Santo Domingo’s cross.
After the Pogues lose sight of the $400 million in gold from Season 1, Cross becomes their focus. This turns Limbre into one of the main antagonists in Season 2.
Limbre could be an asset in future seasons of ‘Outer Banks’
While Limbre is supposed to be an antagonist, she is not necessarily working against the Pogues in Season 2. She is a dying woman desperate to live. The shroud contained within the cross is rumored to have healing powers. And while Limbre’s health status is unclear, he is intent on finding the shroud because it is the only hope he has left.
By the end of Season 2, Limbrey’s search for the Shroud leads him to Big John Rutledge (Charles Halford), the missing father of John B. (Chase Stokes). He claims to know where the shroud is – the cross was empty when Limbre opened it – and promises to help find it. But Limbre must help John B in return.

Carla Limbre could be the ‘Big Bad’ in ‘Outer Banks’
Historically, Ward has been the villain in Cameron (Charles Aston). outer Banks. But in the future, Limbre could easily become the next “big bad” in the Netflix series.
The longer it takes for the limbre to reach the shroud, the more likely it is to be depressed. If John B needs too much help for Limbre, she could snap and make things worse for him and Pogues in the future.
‘Outer Banks’ Season 3 Isn’t Certain, But It’s Likely
Netflix hasn’t confirmed the third season outer Banks. But showrunners always planned for the show to be four to five seasons long.
