The daily COVID-19 case count continues across much of Atlantic Canada, with New Brunswick maintaining the sharpest increase in new infections.
The province reported 82 new cases on Sunday, 64 of which were patients who had not been fully vaccinated.
New Brunswick officials also say one person has died from the virus, bringing the death toll since the start of the pandemic to 54.
New Brunswick on Friday restored its state of emergency for people and businesses and tightened protective health measures to deal with a rising case count.
Meanwhile, public health officials in Newfoundland and Labrador say 24 new cases have been reported in the central health area in the past 24 hours.
Government figures show the province has 134 active infections, while the number in New Brunswick is 628.
