A devoted mother pregnant with her third child has been murdered In a house in Melbourne, Australia.
Michelle Darragh, 32, died at around 7.30 p.m. at her estranged partner’s home in Bayswater North.
Police on Saturday found the mother of two young boys and their former partner, Ben Koman, with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency services social workers were unable to save the mother and she sadly died at her Melbourne home.
Koman, 29, was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in critical condition, where he remained under police protection on Sunday.
Officials said the exact circumstances of the incident are being probed by the murder squad.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the crime.
Michelle was expecting her third child when her life was tragically cut short.
It was told that Michelle and Koman had recently separated and she had returned home to collect some of her belongings.
Speaking to 9News, Michelle’s brother said in a statement that his sister was a “beautiful soul who put everyone’s needs before her own”.
“Our family has lost a beautiful daughter and sister. We are beside ourselves with emotions.”
Another family member told the media outlet that she was a “great person” and that “after this loss our family will never be the same”.
A police spokesman said Koman was yet to be questioned by the police.
