Michael Jordan Adds Another Title To His Name

Michael Jordan is a six-time NBA champion, two-time Olympic gold medalist, Basketball Hall of Famer, the man behind the Jordan brand and co-owner of the Charlotte Hornets and a NASCAR team.

On Monday, he added another title under his belt as a special advisor to Sportradar’s board of directors. The sports data and technology company said Jordan would also increase its investment in the company.

The Chairman of Sportradar’s Global Board of Directors said, “Michael Jordan is not only one of the most iconic sports personalities of all time, but he is a great leader, driving fan engagement through our fully integrated technology and service platform. We believe in Sportradar’s mission to enhance.” Jeffrey Yabuki said in a release. “We are thrilled to have Michael contribute to further Sportradar’s business efforts.”

“I invested in Sportradar years ago because I believed in the vision and passion of Carsten (Coral) and the rest of the team,” the Chicago Bulls veteran said in a release. “I look forward to a formal role with the company as it begins its next chapter.”

Sportradar has a footprint in major North American sports leagues such as the NBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR and ESL – formerly known as electronic sports leagues. The company provides real-time game statistics and data in these leagues.
