With lyrics such as “Deep in the Night, we’re catching someone else’s dream / Girl you can’t see”, the song was more closely associated with magic.
This mysticism was replaced with a story-like adventure, complete with the spoken word section made famous by Vincent Price. The overall vision for the reimagined song? channeling Raven And the tell tale Heart Poet, Edgar Allan Poe.
