One of Meghan, a former friend of the Duchess of Sussex, is talking about how the Duchess looked for a British boyfriend before meeting Prince Harry. British TV presenter Lizzie Kandi dined on her former friend and said she could “help” Meghan Markle to “get to the right places and meet the right people”.

during the documentary Fergie and Meghan: Inconvenient Royals, Kandi gave a glimpse of her friendship with Meghan. The Duchess was in London in 2013 to promote her show Suit And the documentary included a clip of Kandi interviewing Meghan.
Kandi asked how Meghan liked London in the interview. “It is very cold, but the people are very hot,” replied Meghan. “As cute as that sounds… I was joking today that I’ve never been called ‘love’ or ‘darling’ in my life.”
“It makes me want to stick around for a while,” she said.
Kandi shared that she and Meghan were very friendly. “We were like a house on fire – Meghan is having a lot of fun,” she explained in the documentary. “She loved London, she loved British men, she wanted a British boyfriend, and she wanted to work in London.”
“I could help him go to the right places and meet the right people,” Kandi said.

In 2019, Kandi pointed out Sun How she met Meghan when they sat next to each other at a 2013 charity dinner. “We were having a hottie chat and then he said, ‘Do you know any famous guys? I’m single and I really love English men,’” Kandi recalled.
“So I said, ‘We’ll go out and find you someone,’” the TV personality shared.
Kandi said Meghan was ‘comfortable’ and not self-absorbed. “Meghan is very relaxed, she loves a drink, a lot of fun,” she explained. “I remember her asking about my boys. She was very interested and asking a lot of questions. Usually you see actresses just talking about themselves. She was really fun, really. I was cute. I like her.”
When Kandi found out Meghan and Prince Harry were dating, she texted Meghan to say, “I heard about Harry.” According to Kandi, Meghan replied, “Yeah, I know. We’ll try and hook up.”
However, Meghan never approached Kandi again. “Perhaps she was told by the palace to cut off contact with people she had befriended in the media. I was literally haunted by her,” Kandi explained.
Prince Harry and Meghan met on a blind date
During their 2017 engagement interview, Prince Harry and Meghan shared how they first met – they were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend. Although he did not name the friend, Meghan explained, “We must protect his privacy and not reveal too much to him.”
