In a recent interview, both of them spoke openly about their romance. He also shared the details of their first conversation.

Although their first real conversation didn’t happen until 2020, MGK and Fox actually met at a GQ party in Los Angeles a few years before that.
“This strange thing happened,” Fox reported British GQ. “We didn’t see each other.” She then turned to Kelly and asked him, “Do you remember? [seeing] my face?”
“That’s crazy, not me,” Kelly replied. “I don’t remember your face.”
Fox continued, “I don’t remember your face, and I definitely will remember his face. I just remember this tall, blond, ghostly creature, and I looked up, and I was like, ‘You like weed. It smells.’ He looked me down, and he was like, ‘I’m the weed.’ Then, I swear to god, he vanished like a ninja in a smoke bomb.

Fox had a theory as to why the two stars couldn’t see each other’s faces clearly when they first met on the night.
“I guess we weren’t allowed to see each other yet. We weren’t supposed to see each other that night, so our spirits, our spirit guides, were taking us away from each other because your There was literally no face, like from Spirited Away.
