Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards has revealed that her baby son, Axl, was born three weeks early—and just a day after she and her partner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, set up a nursery.
The 28-year-old star welcomed her first child in August, just days after her bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock gave birth to twins.
But the Little Mix babies shouldn’t have been so close in age, Axl was actually due in September.
Perry posted a video of her getting to grips with building furniture while surrounded by her father’s family dogs.
The singer can be heard laughing as she exclaims: “A man surrounded by 20 boxes!”
She continued: “Preparing the nursery for the little man to come was a family affair.”
In a second video, footballer Alex can be seen lying on the floor as he makes more nursery necessities.
Perry shared: “I can’t believe he came the day after we put up the furniture #ThreeWeeksEarly.”
In a final post, the new mother posted a black and white photo of the inside of her son’s wardrobe, filled with tiny babygross and slipsuits.
She wrote: “@MamasAndPapas I can’t thank you enough for totally preparing me for baby Axl’s arrival!”
Perry kept her baby son’s name a secret for two weeks before taking to social media to finally reveal that they called him Axl.
She broke the news with two adorable pictures of the newborn, in which she was seen wrapped in a white blanket in a basket.
Perry wrote her the following: “Two weeks to love you. I’ve never felt love like this before!”
Meanwhile, Leigh-Anne, who shares her twins with fiancé Andre Grey, has yet to reveal their names, genders or faces.
