Captain Sandy Yawn Fires Lexi Wilson below deck mediterranean But she wasn’t at all thrilled with Chef Matthew Shea’s behavior. Yawn was particularly angry that Shia had planned to give him an ultimatum and would leave if Wilson was not fired.
The crew agreed that Shea and Wilson were equally responsible for the fight. In fact, even Shia knew she leaned on Wilson with her remarks. But one reason Wilson was fired and Shea didn’t is because Wilson pushed Mazee “Zee” Dempers during the first crew fight. Then she said that she would have slapped Shia if she was not on camera. But there were more reasons to sack Wilson and stay on Shea Boat.
Why did Captain Sandy fire Lexi Wilson?
Yawn shared why she fired Wilson during the latest episode. Yawning took into account the physical dangers first. But she also considered the fact that the crew had an issue with Wilson as a whole.
“I came to my decision to let Lexie go because Lexie crossed the border,” Yeon said in a confession. “If I have a crew member who is poking a bear when I get off the boat, they need to figure it out. It’s not for me to solve it. I have one person who is bothering the whole crew.” I have to let that person go.”
Chef Matthew didn’t budge with Captain Sandy at all
While Yawn fired Wilson, she wasn’t ready to let Shia off the hook completely. After Wilson was fired he called Shea to meet him. “I let Lexi go, but your behavior isn’t either…,” Yeon said as Shea searched for words. Shea stood speechless before the yawn and nodded her head in agreement.

“Obviously you had a point,” continued yawning. “He just couldn’t reset with that. I just need to own it.” Shia immediately agreed with a yawn. “And even then, you’re replaceable. Someone is sitting in quarantine right now to take your job. So just don’t ever, ever make an ultimatum. This really bothered me. Especially since we’ve had a rocky start. You are like the head chef. You have to rise above this.”
“So I want you to play that role,” she said. Shea looked upside down and agreed with a yawn.
Did Chef Matthew’s talent keep him on the boat?
“I want Matthew to stay because I don’t have the CV of the chef in quarantine that Matthew has,” Yawn explained in a confessional statement. Another chef, Luca, almost made it to the boat when Shea left in a rage. But when Shia completely impressed the guests, they were let in.
The role of the chef on the boat is extremely important and harder to replace than a stew. But Yeon didn’t want Xi to think he was sailing, especially after he told the crew that he was going to leave if Wilson wasn’t fired. In fact, Luca shows up at the crew mess at some point. Shia told Showbiz Cheat Sheet that meeting Luca was nothing short of strange.

“I didn’t really think about it until I met him,” Shea said. “And I just felt bad. He was in quarantine for so long. And I get a second chance. If I was in his place, I would have been disappointed. So I was feeling for him, you know? Yeah, from him.” It was strange to meet.”
