Reeves has a busy and successful acting career and is training for a role when he’s not filming. According to the actor’s personal trainer, Reeves was on his way to the gym one day when he took the time to talk with a young fan. It would have been quicker to go to the gym to exercise, but he didn’t hesitate to spend time with the boy.

One of Reeves’ fans shared an encounter that proved just how generous the actor is. In a 2019 series of tweets, SBNation.com writer James Dator said that when he was 16, he was working at a movie theater that Reeves came to.
He wanted the actor’s autograph, so he offered him his employee discount in the hope that Reeves would sign a paper. The actor declined the offer, but realized that Dator wanted his autograph.

“I realized you probably wanted my autograph,” he says. ‘So I signed it.’ He gives me a receipt from the concession stand that he signed on the back. Then he casually throws an ice cream cone in the trash and watches his movie,” Dator recalled.
He continued, “I realized later that he had bought an ice cream cone he didn’t want, just to get the receipt paper so he could write his autograph for the 16-year-old nerd.”
