Justin Duggar left Arkansas and there is no looking back. The 18-year-old hasn’t said much about his famous family since their February 2021 wedding, and it doesn’t look like he’ll be commenting anytime soon. In fact, followers of the Duggar family noticed that the newlyweds have yet to comment on Josh Duggar’s arrest or his upcoming trial, despite being somewhat active on social media.
Justin Duggar and his wife Claire Spivey just bought their first home
While the Duggar family appears to be in a state of suspended animation as they await Josh Duggar’s trial, there is one family member who is moving on without worrying much about the eldest Duggar son. Justin, 18, has been making big strides since moving to Texas in February 2021, and his brother’s arrest doesn’t seem to be affecting him.
According to daily Mail, Justin and Claire, 20, bought a home in Fort Worth, Texas in September 2021. The house appears to be in need of considerable work, and it cannot be said whether Justin and Claire plan to call the property home. Justin, like many members of his family and social circle, is in the making. Before their wedding, Justin renovated a house in Arkansas which he later flipped. Maybe he’s doing the same thing to this Texas property.
Justin Duggar never commented on Josh Duggar’s arrest
Some critics of the Duggar family are looking in his direction as the 18-year-old buys a new home. They note that Justin is completely upset by what is happening in Arkansas. After his February 2021 wedding, he has remained silent about his family. Justin has never spoken openly about his brother’s arrest or the upcoming trial. He also did not appear in the bond hearing. Several other Duggars are believed to have entered a digital hearing in May 2021.
However, Justin has been somewhat active on Instagram since his April 2021 arrest. In May, he shared pictures from his wedding party. While many of his brothers served as groomsmen, Josh was not one of them. In July, he posted for James Duggar’s birthday. Claire has also been active on social media platforms, sharing pictures of life in Texas. He has also not commented on Josh’s condition.
He is one of the few married Duggars who has not released any statement.
Justin’s hesitation to speak publicly about Josh Duggar’s arrest is worth noting because he is one of the few married Duggars who has not mentioned the situation at some point. At least, he is one of the only daggers active on social media who hasn’t brought it up.
In the wake of the April 2021 arrests, Jill Dillard, Jessa Seewald, Ginger Vuolo and Joy-Anna Forsyth issued statements shortly after the news broke. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar also issued a statement, serving as spokespersons for the entire Duggar family. His statement said that he is in love with both Josh and his wife Anna Duggar. He thanked his fans for their constant prayers.
The married men of the family were quite calm. Josiah Duggar did not release a public statement, but that was to be expected. Josiah and his wife, Lauren Swanson, have largely been out of the public eye. His Instagram account has been deactivated. John David Duggar and his wife Abby Burnett have been sharing photos on Instagram since the arrest of Josh Duggar, but neither of them has spoken directly about the allegations. The same is true for Joseph Duggar and his wife, Kendra Caldwell. Interestingly, John David was vocal about Josh’s 2015 cheating scandal.
