Mike and Lauren Sorrentino’s road to parenthood
After years of growing up in their relationship as a couple, Mike and Lauren Sorrentino took the next step in their relationship by getting engaged. Mike famously put a ring on his girlfriend’s finger during the taping of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation While his longtime roommates spotted in April 2018.
In November of the same year, both of them got married in a grand style. Their wedding and reception were held at Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. broadcast on both Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Exactly two months later, Mike reported to the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in Upstate New York in January 2019 to serve a nine-month prison sentence for tax evasion.
Following Mike’s release in September 2019, the couple began their search for fatherhood. However, in November of the same year, Lauren had a heartbreaking miscarriage. After consulting experts, the couple continued trying to conceive.
A year after revealing their pregnancy loss, the couple announced they are expecting their first child instagram. He later shared the gender of the baby with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at his home.

During their October 5 podcast episode, the couple spoke candidly with listeners about life as parents. They also revealed if they are ready to try for another child.
Romeo will turn five at the end of this month.
Mike shared that the couple is already planning to try for a second child.
“As soon as we get a grip on Romeo, I think we’ll start trying for that second, maybe when he’s closer to a year. Maybe nine months or something,” he revealed.
The couple said that as long as the child is healthy, it doesn’t matter to have a boy or a girl.

Since welcoming her son while continuing to film the MTV series, fulfilling professional commitments, and recording her podcast, Lauren admits that her priorities have changed.
She claimed that she is already thinking about the upcoming holiday season and has started planning for her son’s first Christmas.
“I think some people I talk to when I’m like, ‘We’re putting out the lights or we’re putting out the lights, and I’m booking food for Christmas.’ They’re like, ‘It’s a little early for that,’” she explained.
“Normally, I think maybe before I have kids, but like how busy I am every day and how fast time is flying by, I check up on everyone who tells me because I’m like, ‘Really? Do you think? Because Christmas is like in 10 weeks and there’s a lot of things I have to do between now and then,’ admitted Lauren.
