Kimberly Rangel was not vaccinated, so the family wanted to share her story in an effort to urge other pregnant women to get their shots.
According to a report, the baby of a pregnant Idaho woman did not survive earlier this month after she went into labor while in a medically induced coma due to the coronavirus.
The baby was expected to be the third child for Kimberly Rangel of Meridian, a Boise suburb, as Boise’s KTVB-TV reports.
After Rangel was brought out of the coma and told of the child’s death, she experienced “severe anxiety and heavy breathing”, her sister Anne Rangel told the station.

The report said doctors prompted Kimberly Rangel to return to a state of coma.
Kimberly Rangel was not vaccinated, so the family wanted to share her story in an effort to urge other pregnant women to get their shots. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) claims that pregnant women who have not been vaccinated run the risk of serious illness and pregnancy complications if they become infected while pregnant, KTVB told.
The report states that the vaccine does not increase the risk of miscarriage and has not been shown to be harmful to the fetus.
