Ink found after a death in his family and covering ‘something’
The story behind one of his bats is associated with a sad story. On his left hand is the image of the crest of his family. Schumpert said he decided to take that ink after his Aunt Caroline died of pancreatic cancer. He did this because he remembered that he always told her about the importance of his lineage. She remembered that it “made me proud of my last name.”
Another tattoo on Schurpert is the symbol of Batman. He got that ink on his bicep in order to cover up another tat he had done earlier in his life.
