The feud started when the comedian called the ‘Cravings’ author for being ‘thirst’ and ‘manipulative’ on social media.
Heather McDonald is taking her social media feud with Chrissy Teigen to the next level.
The comedian, 51, was out in Los Angeles when she told photographers she had “pointed out the hypocrisy” in one of Teigen’s Instagram posts.
“I wish him all the best,” McDonald said. “I called her on Instagram for being like a thirsty person. She knows what she’s doing. [It’s] Too manipulative.”
“I mean, good luck to her. I think she’s doing fine on life,” McDonald continued.
Heather McDonald claims Chrissy Teigen is trying to sabotage her look after going viral.
“I mean, she has 33 million followers. I think everyone still likes her as much. But you know a lot of people who were on my side because she’s been so hypocritical over the years. So I just Want to point out the hypocrisy,” added Teigen’s McDonald’s, which also came under fire for a cyberbullying scandal earlier this year.
The feud began when Teigen shared a photo on her Instagram in which she scolded her followers for holding her to impossible beauty standards. The “Cravings” author has noted that, despite her often glamorous lifestyle posts, she ultimately doesn’t care whether a photo of her that pops up online is flattering or not.
McDonald took to the comments section to bash the former Sports Illustrated model for what she believed was a demonstrative post that was fishing for compliments.
She wrote, “This is an unfiltered picture so say whatever you mean, so people will write really cool stuff to me because I still look really great” 3 years ago, Chrissy wrote.
On Thursday night, McDonald’s offered Teigen some congratulations. “I think she’s probably a great mom, a great wife, and super fun,” she said. “I guess I was pointing out the kind of annoying hypocrisy that happens to social influencers. That’s it. And everyone agreed with me. So there you go.”
Meanwhile, some on social media have called out McDonald’s for being insensitive to Teigen at a time when the writer had bigger things on her mind than the social media feud.
The day the “Chelsea Lately” alum made her discovery in Teigen coincided with the one-year anniversary of Teigen and her husband, John Legend, Tragically coping with pregnancy loss.
except for a Heartfelt tribute to his sonTeigen took to her Instagram Story later that day, where she commented on McDonald’s without directly naming her.
“I didn’t sleep at all last night, as John can attest. I was sick, sobbing, because my phone lost my baby exactly 1 year ago to the memory of being in the hospital,” she wrote. According) page six) “So maybe I’m a little sensitive today but f—off.”
She continued: “Why do people follow people they hate on us? [sic] beyond me.”
