EMMERDALE’s David Metcalf’s recovery after the shooting ordeal continued on Wednesday night — and eagle-eyed fans have found something terribly wrong with it.
Last evening’s edition of the popular Yorkshire soap continued to explore David’s dramatic love triangle with Mina Jatla and Victoria Sugden.
Viewers were horrified after the character, played by Matthew Wolfenden, was shot during a gun siege last month after taking a shot for Victoria.
Wednesday’s show began with Mina and David getting ready after being nominated for the Community Award for their bravery.
However, fans got distracted during the scene as the actor delivered his lines with a hoarse voice as he was recovering from a serious gunshot wound.
Viewers of the show on social media claimed that the wound should not have affected his ability to speak.

One fan said: “Why does David talk in Emmerdale like he’s had a throat operation? He was shot, so why does he need to talk like that?”
Another said: “He has been shot … and for some unknown reason his voice has been affected.”
Another commented: “The sound of David’s death is really bothering me now! You’d think he had a bullet in his throat.”
David has since recovered when Victoria confessed that she loved him while his partner, Mina, was in Ibiza.
Villain Mina continues to flirt with David and now convinces him to break up with Victoria after Isabel Hodgins’ character was caught spying in their bedroom.
Emmerdale returns to screens tonight at 7 p.m. on ITV.
