On September 25, Netflix revealed the official trailer of Emily in Paris Season 2. Although the series was heavily criticized upon release, the 10-episode series was a huge success. When the comedy series premiered in October 2020, the show topped Netflix’s Top 10 list, making it the most popular comedy series of the year. Now that the streaming giant has announced the release date, here’s what fans should expect from the second season.

Emily in Paris Follows Emily (Lily Collins), an all-American woman, who travels to Paris and documents her journey on social media. While working at a French marketing firm, she struggles to adjust to the workplace. In addition, she is trying to find her soul mate in the declared “city of love”.
In the Season 1 finale, the love triangle between Emily, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Camille (Camille Razat) becomes even more complicated. Gabriel is preparing to leave France to open his restaurant in Normandy.
As Camille wants to stay in Paris, the couple breaks up, allowing Emily and Gabriel to explore their feelings. But, when Gabriel finds funding for his restaurant and decides to stay in Paris, it creates conflict. Later, Emily receives a text from Camille that reads: “I just heard from Gabriel. He is living in Paris. Can we talk??” So, what does this mean for Gabriel and Emily?

Well, it looks like Emily has a new love interest in the second season. Ahead of the 2021 TUDUM fan event, Netflix released first look photos for the new season. In one particular image, Emily stands in front of the Eiffel Tower with a new love interest, Alfie (Lucien Laviscount).
According to tv line, the official logline reads: “Now more intrusive into her life in Paris, milie is getting better at navigating the city but still struggling with the peculiarities of French life. After stumbling into a love triangle with a French friend, Emily is determined to focus on her work – which is becoming more complicated by the day. In French class, she meets a fellow ex-pat handjob [Alfie], which both infuriates and intrigues him.”

Emily in Paris Returning actors in Season 2 are Lily Collins (Emily Cooper), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Gretto), Ashley Park (Mindy), Samuel Arnold (Luke), Bruno Gouri (Julian), Camille Razat ( Cami), and William Abadi (Antoine Lambert).
Additionally, Kate Walsh (Madeline), Jeremy O’Harris (Gregory Elliot Dupree), and Arnaud Binard (Laurent G) will also return for a second season.
Producer and writer Darren Star (Sex and the City, Younger) Tony Hernandez returns as executive producers with Jacques Media’s Lily Burns and Andrew Fleming.
