Disney has announced the official launch date for its Disney Genie service as well as the fast pass replacement service, Disney Genie+. In addition to giving some guests the option to bypass the lines, the services will offer a number of other features based on maximizing each visit to the park.

The Disney Genie service will launch at Disney World in Florida on October 19. according to a post Official Disney Parks BlogThe app will work just like navigation apps on smartphones.

The Disney Genie+ add-on will be available for purchase at 40 attractions. This feature will also provide guests with the opportunity to purchase add-ons for individual attractions.

Rides like Space Mountain and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will have Lightning Lane available for Genie+ at launch.

Regular Genie service will allow guests to plan their days out and keep track of rides and attractions they haven’t experienced yet. This will help in creating itineraries for the guests which will reduce the time spent in waiting in line and take into account their favorite rides.

Disney Genie service will arrive at Disneyland, California at a later date.
