Divorce rumors first surfaced in March, when Spelling was seen not wearing her wedding ring.
Dean McDermott can’t wrap his head around why people are so interested in the status of his marriage to Tori Spelling.
In a new interview, the former “Chopped Canada” host, 54, brushed off rumors that have been circulating for months that she and the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum, 48, are headed for divorce.
“It’s just weird that people need to know,” McDermott said. Wednesday’s episode of the “Feminine Warrior” podcast.
“‘What’s up with Tori and Dean? He’s not wearing his ring.’ Why do you need to know this? How will it affect your day?”

Responding to the speculation, the actor said, “I don’t answer anymore. It’s just like, ‘Okay, if that’s what you want to think, think.’”
Divorce rumors began in March when Spelling was spotted without her wedding ring. Three months later, she revealed that McDermott was sleeping in separate room.

The former “Dew South” star has also been seen without a ring several times in recent weeks, though he claimed to have lost his.
“I had a silicone utility ring that I took off while playing golf, and I put it in my pocket. And when I took off my glove, it fell on the golf course,” he said Wednesday. “So, I lost my utility ring and then someone saw it.”
McDermott said, “So I’m like, ‘Forget it, I’m not going to change it. Just let them think it.’”
The couple has been married since May 2006 and have five children together: Liam, 14, Stella, 13, Hattie, 9, Finn, 9, and Beau, 4.
He infamously faced a fraud scandal in late 2013. McDermott admits to stepping on Spelling, which formed the basis of his 2014 Lifetime documentary, “True Tori”.
