Darius Rucker gave an update on the state of his health after the accidental overdose of ex-girlfriend and comedian Kate Quigley.
“You know, she’s doing great. She’s coming out of that,” Rucker told People magazine At the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Friday. “I’m glad she’s doing it.”
Quigley was hospitalized earlier this month after he suffered an accidental overdose. The suspected fentanyl overdose left three others, comedian Fuquan Johnson, and Natalie Williamson, a friend with Enrico Colangelli. The group allegedly used cocaine with fentanyl at a party in Venice, California.
“Hi Love Bugs. — I’ve been off my phone for a few days and will be prolly for a while,” Quigley, 39, wrote on twitter post event.

Rucker and Quigley dated throughout 2020. The country music singer also commented on the situation right after.
“My heart goes out to all the other victims, but [Quigley] doing fine,” Hungama said at the time.
