A PET hamster is taking the crypto world by storm by beating top traders like Warren Buffett.
The Germany-based anonymous owner of the beloved investor described him as “the world’s first crypto hamster”.
They post clips of rodents “choosing” to buy and sell to streaming platform Twitch under the handle “mr_goxx”.
Since June, Hamster is up nearly 20 percent — outperforming many professional traders and funds.
The four-legged financial maneuver is certainly not completing the transaction itself.
Instead, Goxx’s business decisions are made inside a camera-rigged “office” attached to his regular cage.
Every day, when he enters the office, a stream is started on Twitch and a tweet is sent to his followers notifying them that trading has started.
The hamster then moves onto an “intent wheel” that chooses one of 30 different cryptocurrencies to trade.

The amount to be traded is determined when Goxx moves through one of two “decision tunnels”.
Depending on the tunnel he passes, he will buy or sell the cryptocurrency change in increments of 20 euros.
All data manipulation is done from a computer that performs real-time transactions on Goxx’s behalf.
Goxx launched its portfolio with the equivalent of $390 in the exchange account. It hit an all-time high of $580 this month.
This puts him ahead of the S&P 500 and Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway in the same period.
Speaking to the BBC, the 30-something German men behind the channel explained that the idea started as a joke.
“We realized that these days everything is becoming more expensive and it is very difficult to save with high rent payments,” he said.
“It seems that most of our generation see no other opportunity than to throw a lot of their savings into the crypto market without knowing what is going on out there.
“We were joking about whether my hamster would be able to make better investment decisions than us humans.”
