“When I got the call from Scholastic, it was the fifth of September, and I think it’s his birthday. But since the teachers have a lot going on at that time of year, Scholastic suggested that his birthday be February 15th. Yes, because it’s my birthday and it’s a great time to party. So you can celebrate in September or February.”
As far as Clifford’s color, Bridwell said he dipped his brush in bright red because he thought it would be fun against a blue and green background. While he also revealed how Clifford became so big, the film will show the magic behind that mystery.
