When her father passed away at just 11 years old, Ariane lives a quiet life out of the limelight with her mother, Ottavia Busia.

However, his attitude changed when his second wife Busia gave birth to Ariane in 2007.
But Bourdain said he “has never been happier than when I’m standing in the backyard like a TV dad” because it made him feel “normal.”
“You know, my whole life I was like a kid, my nose pressed against the glass, ‘What’s it like to be a kid, and you know, a normal family, and standing in the backyard with a silly apron? Must be, you know, barbecue burgers? When I find myself doing that, I’m ridiculously silly happy,” he explained insider.

Bourdain was a doting father to Arian.
According to Bourdain: The Definitive Oral Biography, she and Ariane would sneak out for a hot dog at New York’s famed Papaya King on the Upper East Side of their Manhattan neighborhood.

Busia wrote that her daughter was “strong and brave” and wore the shoes she had bought, according to a story published by her. CBS.
“Our little girl had a concert today. She was amazing. So strong and brave. He wore the same shoes you bought him. I hope that wherever you are, your journey is going well,” Busia wrote.
