On October 5, Gisele, Winter, Karina and Ningning of K-pop group Espa released their debut EP and physical album, Uncultured. The group originally debuted in 2020 with the single “Black Mamba”, and Espa released a second single titled “Next Level” in May 2021.

Giselle said, “We especially had a lot of fun and enjoyed working on Uncultured The album … our executive producer Su-Man Lee personally directed every little detail of this album such as the pronunciation of each syllable, so we wanted to work extra hard and do our best to be stronger than ever . “

“Savage” is the lead single on the EP, and during the press conference, journalists were able to see single music video And a performance video of the song. Like Espa’s previous singles, “Savage” is conceptualized by the quartet and incorporated into SM Entertainment’s SM Culture Universe.
“Our previous singles ‘Black Mamba’ and ‘Next Level’ as well as the newly released ‘Savage’ all intertwine a story surrounding our worldview,” Gisele said of the group’s single. “First, ‘Black Mamba’ is introduced. Then, we go to Kwangya and now we face ‘Black Mamba’ with the help of ‘Nevis’. The story continues and new characters are introduced, leading to Our worldview is expanding further.”
Kareena also shared that the music video for “Savage” ties into SM Entertainment’s new video genre “Cavman”, which is an acronym for cartoon, animation, web-toon, motion graphic, avatar and novel.

Espa’s debut single “Black Mamba” dropped on November 17, 2020. At the press conference, Ningning discussed how much the K-pop group has grown since debuting with the single.

At first I used to feel a little awkward and nervous in front of the camera but now I feel a lot more comfortable and want to perform more.” Enjoy!
